Calypso’s Captive
The Pain of Separation from Home
When my heart feels
The pain of separation
I try hard to find you
In my mind’s eye
And carefully hold your angular face
And clear blue eyes
In your silver pool of light
When I feel down
And my heart aches
I conjure up the image
Of our foreheads touching
And our minds, heart and soul connecting
And I feel the way
That we complete each other
And become one and whole again.
When tears well up for you
I close my eyes
And find myself in real time
In the passionate and peaceful place
Where our bodies are joined in love
And our minds are embraced
In a Golden light
That takes us into a mystical union
Somewhere above our bodies
Yet in Soul time
Yet still within our bodies
And I remember the ecstasy of that moment
And my love for you rises again
